Hello, friend. It's hard to believe Mother's Day is this weekend, graduations are about to go down, and summer is around the corner. What are you looking forward to?
We plan to host family from South Carolina over Memorial Day weekend and then go to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter with them. It will be my boys' first time at both, so I'm looking forward to that. Have you been to either attraction? If so, reply and give me all the tips!
Regarding tips, do you use Microsoft Word?I recently put together a list of tips and tricks you can use to format a book or document (link below).
In this newsletter, I also - feature a personal growth workbook perfect for moms, - recommend two books for moms and their kids (one for younger children and one for middle grades), - share my photos of "the world's most beautiful bookstore," and - link to an article about how to pitch media to market your book or business
Oh, and one more thing: I formed an LLC! Thanks to your support, I took a step in faith this spring and registered Legacy Passion Projects, LLC with the state of Kentucky. I'll be operating under that name from now on. If you know of anyone who needs help with a passion project, please send them my way!

Self-Care for Moms
I just wrapped up a fun project with author Chrissy Whitten: a guided reflection journal to accompany her first book, The Fight. Chrissy and I collaborated on editing, formatting, and publishing. This was our fourth project together, but it was the first of its kind for both of us—a workbook.
Drawing from each chapter in The Fight, this companion journal is filled with reflective prompts and creative activities on topics like loss, relationships, stress, and emotional well-being. This set is perfect for moms or women who have experienced loss or other challenges.
In honor of moms, get 20% off through May 25! DM Chrissy for that deal. The books are also available on Amazon.
Before I began editing and formatting books, I was unaware of some really cool features in Microsoft Word. Do you know how to automatically create a table of contents or quickly insert horizontal lines? In this blog post, I break it down and even demonstrate some tips on YouTube. Bookmark it for your next paper or project.
In a previous post, I wrote about why I love Brave Books for kids and reviewed Elephants Are Not Birds. Their stories teach kids how to be strong and discerning when confronted by questionable culture.
Of the ten books in Saga One, Little Lives Matter (book two) is my favorite. It's a precious story about the sanctity of life, perfect for Mother Bears and their cubs.
Kevin and I recently traveled to Argentina. It was my first time in South America. We visited three beautiful areas—Iguazu National Park, Buenos Aires, and Bariloche in the Patagonia region.
In preparation for the trip, I read about a beautiful bookstore called the Ateneo Grand Splendid in Buenos Aires. It's in a converted antique theater. National Geographic dubs it "the world's most beautiful bookstore."
Thankfully, it was within walking distance of our hotel, so we got to see it! I'll post more pictures on Instagram.
What publications, blogs, or podcast hosts might be interested in your book or business? Pitch them! It's worth a shot. Read this article for tips. And let me know if you have a win! I'll share it in the next newsletter. Let's support each other!
And that's a wrap! Please forward this email to anyone who might be interested in the content.

Happy Holidays! I wanted to share a few Black Friday deals I'm seeing and a little about my recent work as well. This fall, I enjoyed working with two organizations, a club and a nonprofit, to design a logo and brochure and proofread a couple of grant applications. Many of you are contributing to a cause, and that will be part of your legacy. I'm proud of you all and the work you are doing. You inspire me! In this newsletter, I - share tips on designing a logo and brochure for your...
Happy Fall, y'all (the South is rubbing off on me)! In this newsletter, I - reflect on Charlie Kirk's legacy, - share what we're doing weekly with our boys,- congratulate client Veronica Stone on her publishing deal,- recommend a podcast for writers, and- answer the question, "What is the best book you read this summer?" But first, I have to share these rainbow photos I took this year, because every time I see a rainbow, it reminds me that God is present. He's in control of all this chaos....
Reader, Happy Thanksgiving! How are you celebrating this week? We are spending time with my family in Ohio. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with high school friends and doing some fun things with the kids in Columbus. I'm also grateful for my parents and the fact they are still with us. Say a prayer for my dad. He's trying to determine why his legs feel numb. He has an MRI on Sunday, December 1st. How can I pray for you?
